In a local town market there was a vegetable vendor Ram selling fresh vegetables at the cheapest price to its customers. His shop was very famous and there was always a huge crowd of people at his shop to buy vegetables from him. The other vegetable vendors were jealous of him because he used to sell the vegetables at the lowest price. But, the other vegetable vendors didn’t even think of selling vegetables at the cheapest price and their vegetables were at fixed price. Because they wanted to make money and run their family. One day a customer visited Ram’s shop and asked why you sell the vegetables at the cheapest price? What is the reason behind it? I want to know. To his amazement, Ram replied that like other vegetable vendors I also have to look after my family and I also need money. But, I feel happy and satisfied with my job and money. I don’t wish to earn more money because according to my perception I feel that money is not the solution to everything and it can’t buy me happiness. It’s true that everyone needs money to earn a daily dose of bread especially those who are extremely poor and their financial background is not good. But my principle of life is very simple and I am happy with what I have. This impressed the old man and he felt happy to see that in today’s world there are also such decent and yet simple living people and it doesn’t matter whether it would be rich or poor.
