Library’s Secret Amidst The Floods
It was the month of November. The entire town of Assam has been swept away by the flood. People stayed on the roof of their homes and were left with hardly any food and water. Amidst all this, a family of four was left behind on the outskirts of Assam. They had nothing to eat and a glass of water to drink. They were dying of hunger. Everyone in the home had been the victim of malnourishment. The flood in Assam took centre stage and everything led to the downfall, especially food and water. One day Kiara the youngest of her two siblings asked her mother; Mom, when the school will open? I want to go to school. I have to borrow the books from the library and read all of them. Her mother replied; Kiara it would take a long time because you can see the flood has already swept away the entire town. There is no prediction of when we would get away from the flood. But Kiara said, Mom, I want to go to the library anyhow. Her mother said; the library must have been closed because of the extreme flood in the town. Listening to this, Tina the eldest of the two siblings said; Mom I think she is right. Even I am also in need of reading books these days. We must go and find out whether the library is closed or open. Kiara became so happy with her elder sister Tina that their mother also had to give her approval to go to the library. Both of them hurriedly got up and went to the library. But her mother said to be careful while crossing each path because there will be layers of water. Both of them replied; Don’t worry Mom we will take care of ourselves. They were super excited to visit the library and get all those good books to read and add to their bucket list. As they were crossing the paths they had to carefully take each step because there were layers of water. After crossing some miles over the path there came a situation where they had to swim. Both of them were good at swimming and so they easily crossed the path and reached the library. As they reached the library they were surprised to see that there was no water around the library. Everything was plain and there was not even a single drop of water left on the ground. Kiara asked her sister Tina; Sis how could this be possible? Tina replied; Even I am also surprised how could this be possible. Now let’s get inside and find the books. Both of them entered the library. They saw multiple books and they curiously selected the books which they wanted to read. After selecting the books they decided to go home. As they were returning home they saw a hidden door inside the library. They went near the hidden door and opened the door. They couldn’t believe their eyes what they saw. They saw a big tank in which all the flood water was drained into it. Both Tina and Kiara were surprisingly astonished to see this incredible thing in their life. Then they secretly closed the door and went outside.
